My partner had a day together recently, a rare event (well for a few hours while the boys were at school) and it was wonderful. We rarely get uninterrupted time together so it was nice to talk and relax together. We had a lovely drive out along part of our beautiful North Coast. he was due to run the Causeway Coast marathon the next day so was out 'stashing' a couple of energy drinks along the route.
The weather was warm and sunny and for once I didn't feel that I should be at home doing something more worthwhile! What could be more worthwhile than us spending time together?

Our first port of call was Ballintoy Harbour - I could have stayed there all day sitting looking at the sea and getting sun-burnt. The little tea-room was open and there were lots of people milling about.
the whitewashed building in the photo is now the tea-room.

We then stopped at Dunsevenish and this is the view that greeted us!

We then went on to have a leisurely lunch at the Cranagh Coffee shop by the river in Coleraine (off the main road from Coleraine to Portstewart. It was lovely.

What beautiful scenery, Elablue! Such a contrast to the Outback here in Australia which I have just returned from. You do live in a lovely place even if it is a tad cold!

Absolutely breathtaking photos. Have always wanted to visit Ireland. Looks as green as they say. :)

Nanna Chel - some days I would swap for the heat in an instant. I've just been getting the hats, scarves and gloves out of their storage today!!

floodproofmum - many thanks. We are fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the world and we make good use of it - lots of walks and picnic ... despite the cold lol
